US HealthVest to manage behavioral health services at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center
New York, NY – April 1, 2024 – US HealthVest is expanding its partnership with OSF HealthCare to include management of services provided at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa, IL, including the inpatient behavioral health program, partial hospitalization program and outpatient behavioral health services. US HealthVest will bring expertise in operations, best practices and programming to OSF St. Elizabeth. Both organizations have a shared mission to deliver exceptional care to those in need.
US Health Vest and OSF HealthCare have formed a joint venture that is constructing a state-of-the-art, 64,000-square-foot inpatient behavioral hospital in Peoria. The new hospital, expected to open in late 2025, will expand access to urgently needed mental health care for residents throughout central Illinois. A full continuum of behavioral health services will be offered to all patients, regardless of ability to pay, including comprehensive treatment for those who struggle with acute symptoms of mental health. The hospital will be open 24/7 with a crisis center offering free assessments and specialized programs with evidence-based care. In addition, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs will be provided.
As one of the largest providers of inpatient behavioral health services in Illinois, US HealthVest operates three psychiatric hospitals in the Chicago area with over 400 beds and related outpatient programs. The OSF joint venture is an extension of US HealthVest’s service offerings to central Illinois, expanding access to services in areas with unmet need.
